Ensuring access to free, safe, and quality services for survivors of violence is one of UNFPA’s core goals.

This mission is especially critical in Ukraine — where during war, the level of violence, including domestic and violence against women, is increasing.

Thanks to gifts from supporters like you, we’re supporting the newly-renovated Daycare Centre for Psychosocial Assistance in Ternopil. The Centre provides a safe and accessible space for survivors to receive comprehensive and free assistance in comfortable conditions, and includes a crisis room for survivors of violence. Additional services we’re supporting at the Centre include:

*
counseling
with
a
psychologist
and
a
social
worker;
*
primary
legal
assistance;
*
information
about
other
organizations
and
institutions
that
specialize
in
violence
prevention
and
countermeasures
against
violence;
*
a
social
support
service
aimed
at
overcoming
or
minimizing
the
consequences
of
domestic
and/or
other
violence.

The lifesaving resources this Centre is providing is just one example of the difference you’re making when you donate to support women and girls living through war in Ukraine and around the world.

But as needs grow, your support ensures they are met. Will you add a donation to help deliver care, resources, and services to the women and girls who need it most around the globe? [[link removed]]

“UNFPA has become a reliable partner, providing training for specialists in various fields, ensuring the activity of mobile teams, and offering technical support, which is very necessary and tangible, especially in times of war,” said Serhiy Nadal , Ternopil City Mayor. “We are sincerely grateful to UNFPA and all partners.”

The Centre in Ternopil is just one example of your gift’s impact. When the Kakhovka Dam’s destruction caused extreme floods that displaced entire villages, the UNFPA-supported Survivor Relief Center provided humanitarian aid to survivors and supported evacuation efforts.

Even after weathering the severe impacts of the flooding, the 'VILNA' women-friendly space in Kherson has remained operational to continue assisting evacuees with psychological support — and UNFPA’s mobile teams have remained active through the flooding to help evacuees access essential medical and legal services. Our team continues to distribute dignity kits , which include essential hygiene items for women and girls, in flood-affected areas.
