This is URGENT, friend: Our country is facing a gun violence epidemic. Already this year, there have been more than 400 mass shootings and tens of thousands of lives have been unnecessarily lost.
Expanding background checks is a critical step toward solving the gun violence epidemic. Research indicates that as many as a quarter of all gun purchases in the United States occur without a background check – even though 90% of Americans support them. This allows guns to fall into dangerous hands, putting entire communities at risk.
Despite this overwhelming support, the far-right will stop at nothing to BLOCK this lifesaving legislation. So we want to hear from you, friend.
