Last week, the House voted 351-69 to reauthorize programs vital to American aviation, which will help maintain America as the gold standard in global aviation.
Included in this bill was four billion dollars authorized for the Aviation Improvement Program (AIP), a block grant that goes to improving airport infrastructure. This funding will allow both the Savannah and Brunswick airports to invest in needed improvements, so that they can continue to provide a first-class experience to residents and tourists alike.
Not only is Georgia's First Congressional District home to a major international airport, but we also have many constituents that participate in general, non-commercial aviation. This year's legislation includes the first-ever general aviation title, which is important because it creates a blueprint for future legislation. General aviation is a priority, and we will continue to support it through the advancements made in this bill.

Those are just a few of the takeaways from last week's passage of the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act. I encourage you to read about this overwhelmingly bipartisan piece of legislation that will secure and grow the American aviation sector.
It is an honor to represent the First Congressional District.
God Bless,
