Right now, millionaires and billionaires only pay into Social Security on the first $132,000 of their income a year. After that, they pay NOTHING.
The Social Security 2100 Act will ensure the top 0.4% of Americans pay the same rate we do on their income above $400,000 a year.
This will preserve Social Security for generations, and give millions of seniors a raise.
Americans who have worked their entire lives shouldn’t retire in poverty. That’s why the Social Security 2100 Act protects benefits from inflation, and sets minimum benefits above the poverty line.
My conservative Democratic opponent still hasn’t signed on. I’m running to defeat him, because we need bold action to expand Social Security.
