A little over a year since Roe v. Wade was overturned, we’ve seen an influx of abortion bans and restrictions across the country. Abortion is now severely restricted or outright banned in 15 states — leaving pregnant people without options, forcing them to travel hundreds of miles out of state to access abortion care, and in some cases, putting their lives at risk.

Many of the extremists pushing anti-abortion legislation are the same ones attacking voting rights, too — advancing their unpopular agenda by restricting our voices. There’s no question that abortion rights and voting rights are inextricably linked. In some states, the future of abortion access is directly on the ballot — like in Kansas and Michigan last year, and in the Ohio special election less than two weeks from now.

At Fair Fight, we organize because free and fair elections are crucial in order to elect leaders who will defend reproductive freedom, look out for our communities, and support our right to vote.
