Hey friend, did you see this headline in yesterday’s New York Times?
"Warming Could Push the Atlantic Past a 'Tipping Point' This Century"
We’re reaching the point of no return with the climate crisis. Global warming is causing ocean currents around the North Atlantic to slow in a way we haven’t seen in 12,800 years. The Times reports that scientists are trying to figure out if and when that slowdown will have dramatic weather impacts across the globe.
California Environmental Voters is providing critical climate leadership in California that’s delivering big-time results reverberating all across the country. But as a small nonprofit taking on some of the most powerful players on a global scale, we need you to double down with your support.

As record temperatures blaze across the nation; as we start thinking ahead to another devastating wildfire season; as trucks to warehouses continue to pollute Inland Empire communities; as Central Valley communities still lack access to clean drinking water; and as Big Oil continues to “drill, baby, drill” it’s clear we are in a crisis now.
EnviroVoters has a 50-year track record of fighting on the frontlines of the state’s toughest environmental battles — and winning.
Our efforts helped increase California’s climate investment in the budget by 46% to $54 BILLION! We helped pass the state’s most significant bill addressing plastic pollution ever (SB 54), a program that makes solar more accessible and affordable (AB 2316), and a commitment by the state to reach carbon neutrality (AB 1279).
And that was just a handful of the many massive victories from last year alone!
To meet the moment, we need last year’s level of climate investment every year. And we’re working around the clock to hold our leaders accountable to just that.
We still have a chance to stop that “tipping point” from tipping over, friend — can you help us out?
