We are BACK from a week of activism in Atlanta, taking on the anti-abortion hate group Operation Save America (OSA) and doing the podcast live! These jerks traveled from around the country to spray their haterade at clinics and all over the city, but we came in HOT to be the friendly neighborhood buzzkills Atlanta needed and we countered their every move! 

WHEN CLINICS NEED SUPPORT #WeShowUp
AAF organized a week of support for Atlanta clinics last week, including sending lunch for providers to help spread joy and fun to fight OSA’s hate! We also organized clinic escorts and defenders to come from all corners of the country to escort patients and provide a counter narrative to OSA’s relentless proselytizing. We stood tall (okay, some of us stood short, too) at A Preferred Woman's Health Center of Atlanta and Feminist Women's Health Center against the hordes of haters carrying triggering signs and screaming at patients. All the love to Clinic Vest Project for outfitting AAF, our volunteers, and nearly all of the escorts and defenders out there doing the damn thing.

GOING LIVE WITH THE FEMINIST BUZZKILLS
Our pod went LIVE in front of an audience for the FIRST TIME EVER in Atlanta, and boy, was it a blast! You can listen to all the magic when it drops THIS FRIDAY! It was great to bring the local community and activists together, and it also gave us a chance to bring a smile to volunteers and providers while bonding over a few drinks.

THERE’S NO ABORTION IN BASEBALL! BUT QUITE A BIT IN POLITICS…
These dogmatic ding dongs brought their creepy signs and even creepier handouts to the front entrance of the Braves game! But your stealth AAF crew were tipped off and showed up to let people know EXACTLY who they are. People jumped off busses and crossed traffic to thank us for changing the narrative around abortion in the South, and exposing these creeps. There’s nothing like an unexpected hug from a stranger that makes standing out in that heat worth it.

The OSA Finale happened on the steps of the Atlanta Judicial Center, where they demanded in front of hundreds of followers that Georgia politicians should sign a law currently before them that punishes anyone who has or provides abortion with THE DEATH PENALTY. Y’all heard that right. OBVI, we are not letting that shit go unchecked so we showed up and turned their protest into the worst open mic ever, and had so much fun doing it!

We love supporting clinics and exposing the agenda of the anti-abortion movement. It makes clinics feel loved and Atlanta knows a bit more about who they are up against than they did the week before, and that is righteous work. Indiana ain’t playing around, and these folks plan on keeping abortion at the forefront of everyone’s minds with public outreach every second and fourth Thursday of June and July, and you can join their final event in South Bend this Thursday, July 27th from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM ET- registration link here!   

WASHINGTON: WHEN THEY GO LOW, WE RALLY!
We have to show up in the good times and the bad, and it never goes amiss to show support for all of the badass providers out there! Mount Vernon Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood supporters will be holding their monthly rally outside of their health center to spread some love on Saturday, July 29th from 11 AM to 12 PM PT- registration link here!
