My team just reported back to me that 11 districts in Virginia – 4 for the House of Delegates and 7 for the Virginia Senate – are now rated “competitive” by election experts.

These include Virginia Beach, Prince William, Roanoke Valley, and more. If I’m seeing this report, that means the GOP is too. There’s no doubt in my mind that they’re already in the process of ramping up their efforts in these districts. That means our frontline candidates could see more attack ads and GOP early voting initiatives in the coming weeks.

All 140 seats in the General Assembly are up for grabs. So while you might be thinking that losing 11 districts can’t be the worst thing in the world, I’m here to remind you that it would make all the difference. Losing these districts could mean Republicans take control of the Virginia Senate and the House of Delegates.
