The recent flooding in Vermont has devastated our state. Homes have been destroyed, farms have been washed out, and businesses have been damaged.

This is particularly hard on those who have the least. Folks who work hard everyday and live paycheck to paycheck, who may have seen their homes or property washed away.

We have to work together to recover. My office is continuing to work every day alongside Senator Sanders and Congresswoman Balint to bring every federal resource available back to Vermont to rebuild, and my offices are taking calls from constituents to help folks individually.

I’ve lived in Vermont for many years. One thing that has always given me great pride is the way that Vermonters help their neighbors when they need it. I’ve met so many people who have been impacted by the flooding, but even more who are stepping up to lend a helping hand.

That’s the Vermont Way.

There are multiple ways you can help your fellow Vermonters right now:

Register to volunteer.
Document any damage you or your business has sustained. The more Vermonters report their damage, the better the state will be able to estimate the cost to recover from the flooding.
Donate to the Vermont Farm Fund, which provides emergency loans to farms.
Donate to the Vermont Flood Response and Recovery Fund, supporting Vermonters impacted by and responding to the flooding.
