Beginning October 1, 2023, the following new local taxes are administered by the Department of Revenue:  

• Fergus Falls Sales and Use Tax 0.5%
• Metro Area Sales and Use Tax for Housing 0.25%
• Metro Area Transportation Sales and Use Tax 0.75%

The Local Sales Tax Notices are published 60 days prior to the begin date.

Changes to the Local Sales Tax Information documents on our website are published approximately 30 days prior to the begin date.
