John, no animal should suffer as Mrs. Wilkins did.

Dear John,
Removing the animals from Cricket Hollow Zoo — after our landmark court victory
— was only half the battle in saving these animals’ lives. The cruel treatment
and lack of proper veterinary care at Cricket Hollow Zoo has taken a serious
toll on animals, like Mrs. Wilkins, a senior rhesus macaque who is being treated
now for disease and suspected starvation.
It’s critical that animals rescued from Cricket Hollow Zoo and other situations
of abuse and neglect can live safe, healthy lives while their abusers are
brought to justice. Please make your renewal gift today to provide animals like
Mrs. Wilkins a second chance at life and ensure animal abusers are held
responsible for their crimes.

[[link removed]] Primary exams on Mrs. Wilkins show she has severe dental disease and will need
surgery. She has visible abscesses that likely play a role in the fact that she
doesn’t fully close her mouth. She was observed eating the soiled straw bedding
at the time of her rescue — which can be a sign of starvation.
She also has a mammary tumor which will require additional testing as
veterinarians suspect cancer. Many of her body’s lymph nodes are enlarged,
trying to fight her ailments. She has lost mobility of most of her right hand —
but can still climb. She has a long road to recovery — but she is on that road because of you. Renew Now

a second chance. Without our lawsuit, Mrs. Wilkins and the other animals would
still be in small, urine filled cages. John, you made her rescue possible — and your
generous renewal gift today can help her, and many other animals, live the life
they were meant to live

Even when we win, there is more work to be done, because we ensure all our
clients get the care they need to thrive. With your renewed support now, we will continue to fight for animals in the
courtroom

deserve. For the animals,
