We wrote last week about scientist and Nobel laureate John Clauser who recently dared question whether there is a climate “crisis.”
Right on cue, just a few weeks later he is being censored. Shut down. How predictable was this Newsweek story?
Nobel Prize winner Dr. John Clauser (2022) who has disputed issues surrounding climate change, recently was told he would not be speaking to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
"Clauser was to present a seminar on climate models to the IMF on Thursday and now his talk has been summarily cancelled," the Co2 Coalition said in a statement.
So when the left says there is no debate about climate change, they aren't kidding. We’re up against the Middle Ages Flat Earth Society that stoned heretics.
A top priority of CTUP has been to work with governors, state legislators, and ALEC to get lower tax rates in the states. It's all paying off. We’re winning.
Here's a cheerful rundown from our friends at ALEC:
In recent years, we’ve seen significant income tax relief in the states. Notably, 10 states – Kentucky, West Virginia, Montana, Utah, Arkansas, North Dakota, Indiana, Nebraska, Connecticut, and Ohio – have cut personal income taxes (PIT) in 2023. With the new addition of West Virginia, North Dakota, and Connecticut, 22 states have cut personal income taxes since 2021, with several of these states cutting taxes multiple times during that period...
Taxpayers in several of the states that made cuts in 2023 have seen tax relief multiple times in recent years. Ohio’s cuts, signed on Independence Day, moved the top PIT rate to 3.5% from 3.99%, and Montana’s cuts dropped the PIT rate to 5.9% from 6.5%. Utah, Arkansas, and Nebraska have cut taxes in each of the last three years. Utah’s PIT rate was reduced from 4.85% to 4.65%, Arkansas’ went from 4.9% to 4.7%, and Nebraska’s went from 6.84% to 3.99%.
West Virginia reduced its PIT by an average of 21.25%, and North Dakota went from a top rate of 2.9% to 2.5%.
We won't rest until every red state eliminates its personal income tax – so they can be super/competitive like Florida and Texas.
The waste and fraudulent payments during Covid and then the green energy gold rush have been infuriatingly high. Programs like PPP, food stamps, Medicaid, unemployment benefits, EITC, student loans, and rental assistance have been robbed blind by criminals and fraudsters. The cost is in the hundreds of billions of dollars. Congress has done almost nothing to chase down the thieves. Improper payments are up more than 500% since 2005 – and that’s just the fraud the government knows about.
The crime is so rampant in San Francisco it happened right in front of the CNN cameras – multiple times!
Watch this video of the day:
CNN's Kyung Lah reports from a Walgreens in San Francisco that gets hit by shoplifters "more than a dozen times a day." Lah reported the frozen food section is secured with padlocked "chains, heavy chains."
"This was something I had never seen before. This is more icing on the cake telling us that rampant crime has become a regular part of life," a customer told Lah.
5) A Majority of Americans No Longer Support Free Speech.
Alex Berenson calls this "the scariest poll you will see all summer."
We think it's one of the most frightening polls we've seen – ever.
A full 55% of Americans say the government “should ban misinformation.”
What’s really disgusting is that more than two of three Democrats want the government to throw free speech rights out the window if the government determines the words are “misinformation." Lord only knows which speech police will be deciding what constitutes “misinformation.” Does this include even muzzling Nobel Prize winners who challenge conventional wisdom? (See item 1 above.)
A separate poll shows that young people are also more likely to want the government to shut down speech they disagree with or deem “hurtful.” In today’s America where young people need to have their “safe spaces,” there is no tolerance for dissent.
The First Amendment is the most cherished of all our rights in America – which is why it is FIRST! Apparently well more than half of Americans don’t know that central to all Americans’ First Amendment rights is that it PROTECTS speech that may be offensive to some, disagreeable, irreverent, controversial, or even wrong.
We don’t know how much longer the speech police will allow the Hotline to be published. Seriously.
