Business-as-usual is killing people.

The 1% own and operate corporate media. The ultra-wealthy are doing
everything they can to defend the status quo, squash dissent, and
protect their own.

When their rich talking heads flood our airwaves endlessly with a
message of 'realism,' they are not talking about what is possible—they
are arguing for inaction.

"The Green New Deal is fantasy. A pipe dream."

Medicare for All is "not affordable—not realistic."

In the "real world," incremental, market-driven ideas are the only
climate proposals that can ever get passed.

Slashing Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare are "intelligent cuts"
that serious people know are necessary to balance the budget.

The corporate media are not in the business of creating a better world.
The corporate media bring us news that delivers their "framed" world
view. They control the narrative. And profit always takes precedence
over the common good.

The Common Dreams media model is different. We cover the news that
matters to the 99%. Our mission? To inform. To inspire. To ignite change
for the common good.

The status quo cannot survive. Business-as-usual is over. Change is
coming whether the 1% like it or not.

But whether we have good change or bad change, that is up to all of us.
