Funding Goes To Water, Infrastructure Projects FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 26, 2023 Contact: [email protected] CONGRESSWOMAN LAUREN BOEBERT SECURES NEARLY $20M OF INVESTMENT FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS IN 3RD DISTRICT Congresswoman Lauren Boebert successfully passed 10 different 3rd District investment requests through the House Appropriations Committee last Thursday, resulting in nearly $20 million dedicated to important water and infrastructure projects across her district. The 10 projects take place in nine different counties in the 3rd District, stretching from a reservoir investment in Rio Blanco County to an extension of the Medal of Honor Boulevard in Pueblo County. "Water use and infrastructure are top priorities for residents in the 3rd District, which is why I fought relentlessly for these investments in water storage and infrastructure projects," Congresswoman Lauren Boebert said. "Getting these requests approved through the Appropriations Committee is a major step in the right direction for our district." One of the approved projects includes $2 million dedicated to building a new interchange in Grand Junction at the I-70 Highway and 29 Road, which will improve safety for drivers and reduce congestion for Mesa County residents.
