John, 2022 was a good year for Democrats in Michigan. I won my race in a historic victory, and Gretchen Whitmer was re-elected, securing a Democratic Trifecta. It’s easy to assume Michigan is now a secure blue state for 2024, like California or New York. But that’s what Democrats thought going into 2016, and we all know how that ended. Democrats took Michigan for granted, resulting in Donald Trump’s victory. We can’t get complacent. Michigan is a battleground state, and ensuring Democrats win in Michigan starts with holding West Michigan. |
