#HotLaborSummer🔥

Major victories in the tentative agreement include:

  • An immediate end to the exploitative two-tier system, meaning workers will receive equal pay for equal work!

  • Life-saving air conditioning in vehicles.

  • An end to forced overtime.

  • Massive wage increases, including an immediate $21 rate for part-time drivers who were previously barely receiving minimum wage in some regions.

From Philly to Portland, we’re proud to have participated in this fight. Working alongside community organizations and advocates, the JWJ network held rallies, canvassed neighborhoods, and collected over 80,000 petition signatures in support of a fair contract.

As we wait for Teamsters’ membership to ratify this historic contract, there is still work to do. We hope you’ll take a moment to sign the Jobs With Justice “I’ll Be There” pledge, and commit to showing up for someone else’s fight this year. The energy of this worker-led victory will help sustain workers fighting for contracts at United Auto Workers, Trader Joe’s United, Starbucks United, and so many others.

When we fight together, we win together!

In Solidarity,
