Trump opens more national monuments to drilling and fracking.
John,
Did you see my email below?
Bears Ears and Grand Staircase are home to breathtaking southern Utah red rocks landscapes, as well as majestic wildlife. The Trump administration recently opened these two national monuments to oil drilling, fracking and mining.
We will not allow Trump to destroy our public lands!

John,
The Trump administration just opened two of our most majestic national monuments — Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante — to oil drilling, fracking and mining.
The thought of desecrating these lands with fracking and mining is simply horrifying.
We will not stand by and let Trump destroy these sacred places. Food & Water Action has proven that when enough people rise up, Trump backs down. Now it’s time for us to make him back down again — please help make it happen with an emergency donation today.
Bears Ears and Grand Staircase are home to breathtaking southern Utah red rocks landscapes, as well as eagles, elk, owls and other wildlife. Five indigenous peoples of the Southwest have lived there for millennia.
At Bears Ears, a pair of buttes tower over juniper forests, pristine habitat and irreplaceable early human artifacts.
Grand Staircase-Escalante features world class outdoor recreation, stunning arches, slot canyons and incredibly colorful canyons.
The driving of wells and the building of new access roads for drilling, fracking and mining will destroy this landscape forever. We cannot allow this to happen.
Trump and the fossil fuel industry’s reckless disrespect for these natural treasures is frankly sickening.
Sickening, but not surprising. We know the only treasure they care about is cold hard cash.
The good news is that there is overwhelming public opposition to fracking and mining in our national monuments. Mobilizing public pressure is how we forced Trump to back off his plan to allow oil drilling off the coast of Florida. Your pressure now can make him back off again and keep Big Oil & Gas away from these vital historic places — but we have to act fast. Our legal team is also strategizing action against the administration, and our allies in Congress have introduced legislation to permanently protect these precious lands.
