State Representative Anna V. Eskamani from Florida’s 42nd district and Richie Floyd, City Council Member from District 8 in St. Petersburg, FL will both be joining us as guest speakers. Anna and Richie both signed the Patients Over Profits pledge earlier this year, and will be joining us to share exactly what inspired them to take that step.

Anna and Richie will speak on Thursday’s call along with our own Zenei Triunfo-Cortez, RN, President of the California Nurses Association and National Nurses United, and Ken Kenegos, RN, with the Arizona Medicare for All Coalition.

Anna, Richie, Zenei, and Ken all know that here in the United States, giant and powerful health care companies are constantly driving up the costs of care and pocketing billions of dollars every year while bankrolling our elected officials to protect the status quo. In order to transform our broken health care system and achieve Medicare For All across the country, we need and deserve leaders who put people over profits.

That’s why we’re building our nationwide Patients Over Profits campaign to demand that political candidates and elected officials take the pledge to reject campaign contributions from the industry.

We can’t do this without you. Join the fight by signing up for our July strategy call this Thursday to learn more and get involved!
