Dear Friends,

60 years ago, ADL leaders joined the original March on Washington with my father Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders. It was a momentous day in our country’s ongoing drive for freedom and justice.

It feels right for ADL to once again join with our family to march together, to be inspired together and to move the cause of freedom and justice ahead together this year. By coming together as allies, our diverse voices can sound a clarion call for progress that is more powerful than any one of us alone can achieve.

I Want to March on Washington

On behalf of the King family, we thank you for your dedication to the ideals we share and to the never-ending struggle for a better world.

Sincerely,

P.S. ADL recognizes that the March is on Shabbat and that many, including some at ADL, may need to make special arrangements so that their participation in the March does not conflict with their Shabbat observance. ADL is developing plans to help facilitate Shabbat-observant participation and will share those details soon.
