John,
The last two elections, and the years following, have contained some of the most dangerous attacks on our democracy.
Over the past few years, Dark Money groups spent more anonymous money to influence our votes than ever before.1 These are corporations, billionaires, and even foreign governments who seek to undermine our democracy.
At the same time, states passed dozens of laws to restrict our right to vote, from attacking vote-by-mail to limiting voter registration―all with the intent of attacking the rights of marginalized communities and communities of color.2
CHN helps marginalized people in swing states claim their right to vote. And, with the 2024 election just over a year away, we’re fighting back against attacks on our voting rights to ensure our democracy truly equals one person one vote.
Donate today to fight back against attacks on voting rights on the state and federal level, including fighting back against the ACE Act, which allows for unlimited, anonymous Dark Money in our elections.

-- DEBORAH'S EMAIL --
John,
Our voting rights are under attack by Dark Money forces that seek to put the agendas of greedy corporations, billionaires, and even foreign governments over the needs of everyday people.
According to a new report from Open Secrets, Dark Money groups spent more money to influence our votes in the last two elections than ever before.1 And now, a new bill in the House―the ACE Act, co-sponsored by more than 100 House Republicans―would make this even worse, allowing Dark Money groups to spend unlimited sums of anonymous money to influence our votes.2
We’re fighting back, demanding Congress pass the Freedom to Vote Act to strengthen our right to vote and take on Big Money in politics.
In 2020 and 2022, CHN worked with allies across the country to help people in marginalized communities claim their right to vote. With the 2024 election fast approaching, we’re ramping up our campaign to protect and expand voting rights.
Donate today to fight back against Dark Money and fight to strengthen voting rights so that our democracy truly equals one person one vote.

This year alone, 11 states have passed 13 restrictive voting laws attacking vote-by-mail and voter registration drives.3 They want to make registering to vote and voting much harder for marginalized communities.
With just over a year until the next election, we’re fighting for equal access to the ballot box and equal representation in the halls of Congress. This includes passing the Freedom to Vote Act which would:
-
Create national standards to protect our freedom to vote, such as requiring same-day voter registration and early voting in all states;
-
Restore the right to vote in federal elections for people who have served their time for felony convictions;
-
Ensure fair representation;
-
And, take steps to get Big Money out of politics.
The American people overwhelmingly believe in the promise of democracy, but democracy is under relentless attack by those who seek to put power and money ahead of the rights of everyday people.
Donate today to fight back against the ACE Act and any bill that silences our voices and restricts our right to vote.
