When I ran for the Senate, I knew what it would mean to become the first openly gay Senator in our nation's history.

I understood that this would be an extraordinary opportunity to make a difference in people's lives — and that’s what I’ve been hard at work doing every day since. But, despite all of the hard fought progress my Democratic colleagues and I have made, attacks on LGBTQ+ rights are rampant across the country.

Extreme Republicans are working overtime to institute a wave of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. The 2023 legislative session has seen hundreds of bills designed to roll back LGBTQ+ rights, particularly targeting transgender youth.

Even amidst unrelenting attacks, I refuse to be discouraged.

I ran for office in the first place to make a difference, and I won’t let anti-LGTBQ+ Republicans turn back the clock — but I can’t do this without you.

Will you help me keep up the fight in the Senate by pitching in any amount you can spare to defend our Democratic majority? We can’t let extreme Republicans take back the Senate and continue their crusade to roll back our rights and freedoms.
