Hoo boy John, did
you catch last week’s Republican-run House hearing featuring Robert F.
Kennedy Jr.?
Republican leadership *said* the purpose of the hearing was “censorship.”
But in the end, it was just another chance for RFK Jr. to advance his
embarrassing presidential campaign and lie about his history of pushing
racist, homophobic and just plain dangerous, anti-vaccine conspiracy
theories.
In an Orwellian lie reminiscent of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald
Trump, RFK Jr. told lawmakers he’s “never been anti-vaccine” and, the only
reason why anyone would think that, is because of some shadowy conspiracy
against him.
John, we live
in a time where bad actors brazenly use positions of power to further
divide our country and spread dangerous misinformation. [ [link removed] ]Courier
Newsroom was founded to fight back, but we can only do that with your
support. Can you donate $5 today and help fund fact-based
journalism so we can stop the spread of right-wing disinformation in our
communities?

In a not-so-shocking twist that will surprise no one, Fox News hosts like
Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino gleefully bragged about being the only cable
network to air the hearing live.
Rather than fact-checking RFK Jr. like other cable networks, Fox gave him
the same unfiltered access to their millions of viewers they usually
reserve for Donald Trump or MTG.
John, we know
what they’re doing. In the name of “free speech” they’re creating a
platform for right-wing bad actors to divide us and spread misinformation.
At Courier we fight back by doing the exact opposite. At eight local
newsrooms, our journalists are dedicated to getting the facts about real
stories that matter, in addition to providing readers with the context to
fully understand what’s happening.
That means making it clear when conspiracy theorists are peddling
verifiably false claims.
But our talented team can’t do any of that work without your financial
support. None of our stories are locked behind paywalls or subscription
fees, which means our journalists depend on contributions from people like
you to help fund their work.

John. If you want to see Fox
News and right-wing bad actors held accountable, pitch in
$5 or anything you can today to help Courier Newsroom keep
up our important work.
