The expanded Child Tax Credit that passed as part of the historic American Rescue Plan was monumental in its impact, lifting 5.3 million people, including 2.9 million children, out of poverty.

Unfortunately, this version of the Child Tax Credit was only temporary, and when it expired in 2021, 3.7 million children fell back into poverty.

That’s why Frank is urgently working to reinstitute and support the expanded provisions of the Child Tax Credit.
