WORLD LAND TRUST WELCOMES PARTNERS TO THE UK

Partnerships are at the heart of everything we do, so we were delighted to welcome WLT partners from around the globe to our Partners’ Symposium event in Cambridge.

Representatives from 46 of our partners - including 23 new partners since our last Symposium - attended Robinson College for a weeklong opportunity to share knowledge and discuss solutions to the challenges that they all face.

Topics ranged from monitoring to carbon to reforestation, along with how to form cross-border approaches and new opportunities to collaborate.

The forest restoration session discussed the challenges of reforestation in dry ecosystems, and many partners working in these habitats shared valuable planting tips and wider strategies.

Our partner FPWC is now facing up to this challenge in their reforestation work as part of our new Restore Armenia’s Forests appeal. ([link removed])

The whole Symposium was a brilliant chance to connect and learn from each other about conservation work across the globe.
