Team, did you see the recent article in The New Republic about Andrei?
Out on the campaign trail, Andrei often says this election is not about replacing David Schweikert but replacing him with someone with the values and track record to be trusted to deliver the real change we need. Just putting someone in office with the label “Democrat” by their name isn’t enough.
Andrei speaks from personal experience. More than a decade ago, Kyrsten Sinema narrowly edged out Andrei in the Democratic primary for Congress. Back then, he called her out for who she was – someone Arizona Democrats couldn’t count on to deliver for them. As he said in the article:
“She was someone who was the Republicans’ favorite Democratic legislator. Somebody who was cozy with the Republican lobbyists.”
Andrei isn’t running to maintain the status quo, he’s running to change it. For Andrei, legislative priorities aren’t about winning the next election or getting cozy with Republicans and the Big Banks. It’s about doing the most good that you can for the people you represent. And that’s just what he’ll do in Congress.
He isn’t taking a dime from corporate PACs – he’s counting on grassroots support to power his campaign.
What matters in this race for Congress is not that we elect a Democrat – but that we elect a Democrat who will make a difference: Someone who will fight for working people and the middle class against a Republican Party that has long been in the pocket of the wealthy and well-connected corporations. Someone who will stand up and defend our democracy and freedoms.
