Join Us For a Historic Press Conference in the Justice for Jalen Campaign! |

Tomorrow, Wednesday July 26 at noon the family of Jalen Randle, will be hosting a news conference outside the Harris County Civil Courts. It will mark?15 months without so much as an arrest, to say nothing of an indictment or conviction, of Officer Shane Privette, who murdered?Jalen in his own neighborhood on?April 27th of last year. The family will be joined by our chapter, who has helped put this press conference together, and grassroots allies across the city and beyond, including BLM HTX, BLM Grassroots FL, the?Houston Tenants Union,?Community Voices for Public Education, the Texas State Employees Union, and Restaurant Workers United.? ?
This will be an important?moment for?this family and their?campaign for justice in?George Floyd's hometown as well as everyone fighting for a world where people come before police,?property, and profit. If you're able to attend, we look forward to seeing you there!
