Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
As I begin another busy week in Washington, DC, I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
My fight for San Antonians isn’t over yet
Currently, San Antonio’s men and women in uniform cannot take a non-stop flight to the heart of their nation’s capital. Why? Because of an outdated, protectionist law from 1966. Even though San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the US and is home to large military installations, it does not have a non-stop flight to Reagan National in Washington, DC. That’s ridiculous.
I will use every tool at my disposal to ensure that any final Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization measure delivers for the people of San Antonio and includes additional flight slots at DCA.
“Are you free?”
Last week, I asked a simple but significant question from inside the People’s House: “Are you free?”
Are you free if you pay taxes to a school that teaches your children that boys can be girls? Are you free if you’re worried that your streets are unsafe and your borders are wide open? Are you free if you just want to go to the doctor of your choice and you’re prohibited from doing so because of corporate cronies? Are you free if you simply wanted to go about your way of life, but your government said you couldn’t unless you stuck a vaccine needle in your arm?
No, you’re not free. And it’s about time that we live free again.
