Friend,

The first public poll of our race shows that the Senate race in Michigan is a dead-heat. While some may think Michigan is solidly blue, this poll shows we need to be doing everything we can right now to set us up for success on Election Day.

Today, I wanted to pull back the curtain and explain what else was in this poll, and what it means for our campaign.

But I dive in, I need to ask: Can you split $5 or more between my campaign and End Citizens United? In light of this poll, we need to show grassroots strength as National Republicans size up our ability to win.

Despite Democrats’ success last year, Michigan is a swing state, and will flip red under the right conditions.

With a presidential election on the ballot as well, this election cycle is especially susceptible to that pendulum: This polling shows that not only is our race currently a one-point margin with 21% of voters undecided, but a potential match-up between President Biden and former President Trump is a tie:

President Biden: 44%
Donald Trump: 44%
Undecided: 12%

So, what does this mean? The big takeaways for our race in this open seat are that while this is a one-point margin, 21% of voters are undecided. And there is a large portion of the state that hasn’t had the chance to hear from us yet.

So we’ve been doing everything we can to take our message directly to voters early by visiting towns all over Michigan and meeting with folks to talk about the issues that matter to them. And I will continue to meet with people in every corner of our state.

But this kind of poll really does guide our decisions about TV ads, digital outreach, hiring staff early, and building a ground-game that meets folks where they are – and makes it all much more urgent.

This is why I say that the most important time to donate is now: Early support helps us be strategic and intentional about how we’re reaching voters.

In a race this tight, every dollar truly makes the difference, which is why I am asking: Will you donate any amount to my campaign and End Citizens United now to help us finish July strong and set our campaign up for success in this race?

With the 2022 Election behind us, now the real work begins: we need a two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate to pass the Constitutional Amendment to overturn Citizens United.

We know we send a lot of emails. And you might be wondering why: We aren’t a SuperPAC. We’re not funded by corporate PACs. We spend EVERY DIME so efficiently by running proven effective ads to win the most competitive races, push to pass SWEEPING Campaign Finance Reform, and build our movement.

Friend, when we pass the Constitutional Amendment to overturn Citizens United, you’ll be able to say you helped make that happen.
