Hey there, this is Alyssa Bradley.

I’m emailing you on behalf of Lisa Blunt Rochester, who you know as a ground-breaking Senate candidate from Delaware. I know her as “Mom.”

Growing up, my Mom was never afraid to let us be who we were. There were no boxes put on us as kids, she accepted and loved us unconditionally – a trait that she also brings into her career.

I remember doing positive affirmations with my Mom and brother, especially before school. She’d look at each of us and say:

“I’m proud of you. Are you proud of you?”

And we’d say back:

“I’m proud of me. Are you proud of you, Mom?”

Well Mom, I’ve never been more proud of you. I can’t wait to see you make history again and become the first woman and person of color to represent Delaware in the Senate.
