Sea turtles are easily one of the most beloved marine animals, and our oceans just wouldn’t be the same without these treasured reptiles. But sadly, nearly all species of this precious animal are classified as vulnerable, endangered, or even critically endangered — meaning sea turtles are at serious risk of EXTINCTION.
Human impact is one of the single biggest causes of sea turtles deaths — and that includes PLASTIC POLLUTION, which is responsible for killing OVER A MILLION marine species every year. These innocent sea turtles become entangled, suffocate, and often choke and die from all the rampant plastic overtaking the ocean.
EVERY SINGLE MINUTE, an entire garbage truck’s worth of plastic is dumped into our oceans, threatening to WIPE OUT precious marine life like dolphins, sea turtles, and coral reefs. Friend, if plastic pollution continues at this rate, it could literally destroy our entire planet in what experts are calling the PLASTIC APOCALYPSE.
Meanwhile, greedy plastic corporations and their friends in the fossil fuel industry continue to rake in profits without any regard for their environmental destruction.
