Friend -
I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m stuck in endless survival mode. And some days I feel like I got thrown into Jumanji 🦁.
As a geriatric millennial, I’ve lived through the tail end of Reaganomics 📊, the fall of the Berlin wall, a major terrorist💥 attack (9/11), two wars 🚁 (Gulf war and Iraq war), the Great Recession💰, a housing 🏡 crash, a pandemic💉, and now, mind-blowing inflation📈.
If I were NOT part of the fight for social justice and political power, I would most definitely not have the energy or time to worry about ‘politicking’. And I am convinced that the Villains have rigged the game to ensure everyday Americans are too busy surviving to care.
That is our unfortunate reality. PowerPAC and countless organizations like ours are in this push and pull of engagement and education of why voting matters, why representation matters, and why staying active to keep them accountable is for the betterment of our communities.
It is a daunting mission. But someone has to do it. If not, then the American Dream crumbles and becomes an unobtainable ✨fairy tale✨. Something the Villains will just package up as a present for “picking yourself up by your own boot straps” and “working hard”. We know that no matter how much work working Americans put in, the system was built to fill the coffers of the 1% at the expense of the 99%.
That is how our capitalist society was built. And that is why we continue to rage against the machine the Villains have created.
Despite always being stuck in this endless survival mode, I know that there are those struggling more. But I hope that by sharing my struggle of ‘keeping it together’ and ‘working hard’ for my kids, we’ll share empathy with each other and encourage ourselves to step up and fight.
So if you believe in any of the following:
✅ a human who works a full-time job should be able to have healthcare, a roof over their head, clothes on their back, and food in their belly;
✅ people should be paid enough to do more than just survive;
✅ minimum wage needs to be raised;
✅ it’s time to tax the rich; and
✅ billionaires are just exploiting the working class!
Then I invite you to join us.
YES 🙌🏼 Count me in! [[link removed]]
Let’s make good trouble together in 2024. Let’s fight to make sure the American Dream is still possible. If not for our generation, then for the next generation.

PowerPAC is a social justice organization that strategically directs financial and human resources to local and state organizations working to deliver wins in legislative fights, ballot initiatives, and more. For years the money we've raised has, dollar for dollar, been given back to the communities we work with. We've made sure that your investments were being used to build power for our communities because too often we are underrepresented and ignored.
