You haven’t heard from me yet, so I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Sara, Mondaire’s deputy campaign manager. Let me tell you why I’m fired up to send Mondaire back to Congress. I’ve been in politics a while, and I can tell you candidates like Mondaire Jones don’t come around too often. Not only did he beat the odds to win his first Congressional race in 2020 to become the first gay, Black person ever elected to Congress, he put in the work and was named the most legislatively active freshman Congressman. He’s not in politics to line his pockets with lobbyist money, and he’s not running to make headlines — he’s running to make life easier for the community that raised him. On July 31, we’ll be facing our first end-of-month fundraising deadline, but our fundraising numbers since launching this campaign have slipped a little. To make up the gap and get us back on track to hit our end-of-month goal, we need every supporter who reads this email to chip in $5.
