Friend,
New York’s congestion pricing scheme is nothing but a cash grab at the expense of hardworking New Jersey families, including many who live in Bergen and Passaic Counties in the 38th District, which we’re honored to represent.
People driving into Manhattan over the George Washington Bridge or through the Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel are already paying enormous tolls, but now New York politicians want to hit us with another huge increase. It could be up to $23 each way, a ridiculous toll that will crush many middle-class commuters.
We're fighting back by incentivizing companies to open offices in New Jersey to bring money back into our state for the future of our communities. That means giving New Jersey workers support to push back against New York’s double taxation and to avoid paying the exorbitant congestion fees.

On Friday, we stood with Governor Phil Murphy, Speaker Craig Coughlin, Senator Bob Menendez, Congressman Josh Gottheimer and other leaders in Fort Lee where we unveiled a new legal strategy to challenge New York’s unfair congestion tax [[link removed]] .

As a team, we will always stand up for middle-class commuters and against New York’s attempts to fund their failing subway system on the backs of New Jersey taxpayers.
