The government has banned the likes of single use plastic plates, straws and cutlery but has left this gaping hole. Their failure to take action on disposable vapes exposes yet again their insufficient and piecemeal approach to tackling the plastics crisis.
If enough of us sign, we can make this a popular issue, get the attention of the government and force them to act.
Together we can make sure single-use plastic products like this no longer litter and poison our precious planet.

PS: Here are some more shocking facts and information:
- The number of discarded vapes accounts for around 10 tonnes of lithium being sent to landfill or waste incinerators each year - enough metal to make batteries for 1,200 electric cars.
- As of 2017, there were 565 types of e-cigarette devices on the market, 184 of which were disposable or single-use.
- Disposable vapes contain a lithium ion battery which poses a significant fire risk to both waste facilities, bin lorries, and homes.
