Since the Paris agreement, JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) has poured $196 billion into the fossil fuel industry, fueling the climate emergency with every dollar they invest in coal, oil and gas.

350Brooklyn has signed on to be part of the national movement to stop fossil fuel financing, called Stop the Money Pipeline (see stopthemoneypipeline.com). Living in the center of international finance, seat of Chase HQ and a media capital, we believe we have a role to play.

Recent decisions by BlackRock to stop financing coal projects and Goldman Sachs' ruling out Arctic oil projects show they can be moved on this issue. JPMorgan Chase remains the biggest supporter of the fossil fuel industry in the whole world.

This campaign demands that Chase:

  • Stop financing expansion of fossil fuels

  • Phase out fossil financing on a timeline that matches the IPCC 50/50 1.5°C trajectory

  • Stop financing rights abuses: human rights, especially Indigenous rights

JOIN US for our first major action in this campaign: A demonstration on “Investor Day” at JPMC Headquarters. CEO Jamie Dimon, top Chase executives and JPMC’s biggest investors representing major financial institutions will be present.

Be there to tell them climate change is bad business and a lethal investment for our collective future. Chase, Divest from Climate Chaos!

  • Monday Feb 25, at 7:00-8:00am at the JPMC global headquarters, 383 Madison Ave., NYC. A chance to do some important work before you go to your day job!

  • Register here, like the event on Facebook and bring a friend.
