Ameinu's Statement on today's Knesset vote
|
Today is a sad day for Israel and for all of us who love and support a democratic Israel. Today, Israel's Knesset passed the Reasonableness Law, which will eliminate judicial oversight over the legislative branch, and sets Israel down the path to autocracy. Ameinu strongly rejects this bill and calls upon Prime Minister Netanyahu to put an end to his divisive plan to destroy the checks and balances that preserve Israel's democracy. Ameinu will continue to stand in support of the protesters in Israel and around the world who are bravely fighting to defend democracy.
