Nottinghamshire Pride

pride banner

We?re proud to display the Love is Love banner on the Council House this week, in time for the Nottinghamshire Pride event on Saturday 29 July, and to celebrate the city and county?s vibrant LGBTQ+ community.

This year's event will begin with a visibility march at 11am (starting at the junction of Lister Gate and Castle Gate). The route heads through the city centre and ends at Broad Street.

In the afternoon, Hockley hosts a market and main stage with a range of talent from Nottinghamshire?s LGBTQ+ community, from spoken word poets and musicians to drag artists.

Don?t lose your chance to vote!

Annual Canvass

The 2023 annual canvass is now in progress and our Electoral Services team are now in the process of contacting every household in Nottingham City to ensure that our Electoral Register is accurate and up-to-date. This will be either by email, text or letter.

Email / text: If we have your email address or phone number, we will have contacted you asking to confirm your household details online instead of posting you a form. The email will come from [email protected]. THIS IS NOT SPAM. Please check your inbox.

Paper form: If we don't have your email address or phone number or you don't respond to our initial contact, you will receive a paper form through the post.

If the form asks you to respond then it is important to do so to ensure that you can have your say at future elections. Where possible, please try to respond online or alternatively, you can post the form back to us. For more information visit www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/elections

I would urge every household to take the time to check their details, particularly those who have had recent changes, and respond to confirm or update their details as appropriate in order to avoid losing out on the chance to vote in elections before it?s too late.
