Today marks 14 years since the last federal minimum wage increase. In those 14 years, folks across the country have felt the squeeze of rising costs.

Here’s what we know. We know that $7.25 per hour is not a living wage. We know that when folks have better wages, they have more money in their pockets and can shop at their local businesses – and that benefits everyone in the economy. And we know that raising the minimum wage is a powerful way to grow the economy from the middle out.
