Despite Biden’s Economic Plan, 58 Percent of Americans Still Disapprove of the Economy

CNBC: President Joe Biden’s economic approval numbers have risen modestly in the wake of efforts by the White House to promote what it calls “Bidenomics” and some improvement in inflation, but a substantial majority of respondents to the survey still disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy. The survey also found that Republicans hold double-digit leads on which party Americans believe is best to handle critical economic issues like inflation and jobs and that higher interest rates are beginning to hit Americans in their wallets. It now stands at 37% approving and 58% disapproving (CNBC). Mediaite:  CNN anchor Dana Bash praised the Biden economy after recent inflation numbers, and asked Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi why President Joe Biden’s poll numbers don’t reflect that (Mediaite). RNC Research: “Nearly six-in-ten Americans still disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy. Why is that and what does he have to do to turn that around?” NANCY PELOSI: “I ask myself that all the time, too” (Twitter).

94 Percent of Americans Admit There is a Problem at the Border
Gallup: A 39% plurality of Americans think the situation at the United States-Mexico border is a “crisis,” 33% a “major problem,” 22% a “minor problem” and 5% “not a problem,” which is essentially unchanged from the previous reading in 2019. taken together, majorities in each party group say the border situation is either a crisis or a major problem (Gallup). Daily Wire: Under Biden, millions have entered the U.S. country illegally, forcing the administration to change its tactics in how it deals with illegal aliens. However, it seems that the Democrats aren’t interested in stopping these illegal immigrants from entering the country, but making it easier for them. Amongst its move has been a new “parole” system that allows migrants who would have otherwise been likely to cross the border illegally to enter the country. Under the new system, the only difference between legal and illegal, effectively, is that individuals seeking to enter the country fill out a smartphone app that serves as their asylum paperwork without the need for a visa (Daily Wire).

DOJ Threatens to Sue Texas Because of Their Buoy Barrier Across the Rio Grande
Daily Wire: The Biden administration is asking Texas to remove barriers on the Rio Grande River that law enforcement officials had put in place to stop illegal crossings. The Department of Justice is threatening to sue Texas over “humanitarian concerns” if it does not remove the barriers, which were first put in place earlier this month. “The floating barrier poses a risk to navigation, as well as public safety, in the Rio Grande River, and it presents humanitarian concerns,” the DOJ said, claiming that it was “unlawful” for Texas to install the barriers (Daily Wire). Governor Greg Abbott: Texas has the sovereign authority to defend our border, under the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution. We have sent the Biden Administration numerous letters detailing our authority, including the one I hand-delivered to President Biden earlier this year (Twitter). DoD Inspector General Finds Gangs Taking Millions Worth of Aid Meant for Ukraine
Townhall: It turns out all of the millions of dollars worth of arms weapons the Biden Administration is sending to Ukraine to fight its ongoing war with Russia are ending up in the hands of criminal gangs.  The U.S. Defense Department’s inspector general report found a lack of accountability in maintaining the equipment it sends to Ukraine. Cori Bush Spends Lavishly on Security for Her, Husband While Working to Defund the Police
Townhall: Squad member Rep. Cori Bush’s (D-MO) campaign shelled out tens of thousands of dollars to her husband, Courtney Merritts, for private security during the first half of 2023. Despite stressing the need to de-fund the police, Bush— a member of Black Lives Matter— pocketed $17,500 for security services and “wage expenses” between April and June. These payments follow the $12,500 that went to Merritts during the first quarter for private security services, totaling $30,000 for the year. The far-Left progressive has defended her need for tight security, claiming she requires the need to be protected because of past attempts on her life and “too much work to do.” Since last year, reports show that Bush’s campaign has sent the Democrat’s husband bi-monthly $2,500 checks totaling $60,000 while paying out hundreds of thousands to the protection firm PEACE Security (Townhall). Free Beacon: Bush teared up as Shalomyah Bowers, a member of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation board of directors, called her a “brilliant” and “strategic leader” for reintroducing the People’s Response Act, a measure that would fund unarmed social workers to respond to mental health emergencies instead of police. Bowers said the bill was a critical step in upending “a law enforcement model that harms our communities” and abolishing the “prison complex” designed to “tear down black families.” Bush said her bill would prevent “thousands of deaths and abuses” of black people at the hands of police (Free Beacon).
