As your chief prosecutor, my primary responsibility will be getting results in the courtroom on behalf of victims, their families, our partners in law enforcement, and the good law abiding citizens of Mississippi.

All of these groups deserve justice in a timely manner, but Mississippi’s State Crime Lab has reached a critical level of backlogs, delaying justice and the prosecution of criminals.
This hurts DeSoto County.

Much like I-55, the growing pains of DeSoto County must be met with solutions that improve our quality of life and attractiveness of DeSoto County.

That is why I will make a DeSoto County Crime Lab a priority in my Save DeSoto initiative on day one.

My office and I will work with local, state and national leaders to acquire the funding and legislative approval needed to give DeSoto County (one of Mississippi’s only growing counties) its own crime lab and examiners.

When it comes to putting perpetrators behind bars and giving victims justice, time is of the essence.

Our county provides a substantial amount of revenue for the state and I believe it is time we have a return on our investment when it comes to this issue (much like Interstate 55).

This is the type of forward thinking a prosperous and growing county of our size deserves. The DA may not be a legislator, but it is their job to represent the people wherever advocacy is needed. With your vote and support, I have a plan to make this a reality during my first term in office.
