"Senate Judiciary Committee adopts Supreme Court ethics bill"
My Democratic colleagues and I in the Senate Judiciary Committee were finally able to pass my bill to implement a binding code of ethics at the Supreme Court.
Here’s a brief reminder of exactly what my Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act would do:
*Require Supreme Court justices to adopt a code of conduct.
*Create a mechanism to investigate possible violations of the code of conduct and other laws.
*Improve disclosure and transparency when a justice has a connection to a party before the Court.
*Require the justices to explain their recusal decisions to the public.
The highest court in the land shouldn’t have the lowest ethical standards.
This is a good step forward, but there’s plenty more to be done. Can you donate to my re-election campaign today so I can continue my work in the Senate to tackle the ethics crisis at SCOTUS?

Thank you for your support. I wouldn’t be here without you.
