No one person can end the opioid epidemic – that’s why as soon as I got to Washington, I founded a bipartisan working group on addiction, which is now the Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force. We all need to make our voices heard on this issue.
The opioid epidemic affects millions of Americans every day. It continues to destroy families, communities, and entire regions of our country.
We need better access to treatment and increased funding for prevention and education programs. That’s exactly what I’ll keep fighting for in the Senate.
Thanks for listening to Ian’s story. I hope we can continue to work together to protect our families and fellow Americans from substance abuse.
