NEWS DIGEST
by Brandon Waltens
Good morning,
Wokeness has infiltrated Texas state agencies.
Internal records from the Texas Department of Transportation reveal directors have been using taxpayer money to finance leftist practices and events.
While TxDOT attempted to withhold documents by appealing Texas Scorecard's request to the attorney generals office, they quickly withdrew their appeal after our initial reporting.
What we found was shocking. [[link removed]]
The records include emails and discussions between employees regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
It was discovered through these records that TxDOT has changed the name of their DEI Section to the Talent Acquisition and Employee Resources (TAER) Section.
Employees were encouraged to use "inclusive language" and share pronouns.
Taxpayer dollars were used to fund DEI classes and trainings.
Employees held meetings in racially and gender segregated groups while on the clock.
TxDOT has around 12,000 employees and receives billions in taxpayer funds. Over the coming weeks, Texas Scorecard will continue investigating state agencies to expose how taxpayer dollars are being used to fund woke programs right here in Texas.
