The Republican party has shown their true colors.

Last week, Republican Lauren Boebert was handed a pin honoring the victims of the Uvalde massacre.

She tossed it in the trash.

I am disgusted but not surprised at the Republican party’s disregard for victims of gun violence. They have shown that they don’t care time and time again by refusing to even consider life-saving gun safety reform.

John, I represent Uvalde in the State Senate, and after 19 children and 2 teachers were killed, I was there. We grieved together, and I’ve worked with the Uvalde families to keep our kids safe from gun violence.

Boebert’s actions are a slap in the face to every Texan and victim of gun violence. We can’t have these people representing us.

I am running for US Senate because we need real leaders who will deliver real solutions to real problems.
