The House GOP is at it again, John.

John, this is starting to feel like Groundhog Day.

House Republicans are attempting to massively cut funding for the EPA…just like how Trump wreaked havoc on the agency when he was president.

In their latest stunt, they’re trying to strip billions of dollars out of the EPA’s budget so that the agency can’t carry out its vital functions that are needed to reach President Biden’s climate goals.

This is an incredibly bad bill for our planet. They’re also trying to cut funding from Superfund cleanup efforts. And they’re trying to take gray wolves and other animals off of the Endangered Species List, while preventing the reintroduction of the American bison to its native habitats. 

This is only scratching the surface of all the terrible things in this bill.

SEEC Vice Chair Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine), said it best: “This destructive bill promotes dirty energy, hastens the decline of our ecosystems, and fosters hate and discrimination.” The bill mandates federal oil and gas drilling and restricts President Biden’s clean energy initiatives. Will you fuel our SEEC Members’ fight against this dangerous bill? 

Republicans obviously care more about corporate profits than they do about animals, climate, habitat destruction, and the health of you and your neighbors. We saw what cuts to the EPA looked like under the Trump administration. We must stop this from happening again.
