Team,

By now you know Ohioans have a critical election next month to vote NO on Issue 1. But you have been wondering…why in August?

Great question. Especially since the Ohio legislature just voted last year to end August elections entirely. But only when it’s convenient for them.

With such a critical election ahead, legislature extremists are counting on this upcoming election to have the same historically low turnout that nearly all August elections have. This election is an assault on direct democracy, and they’re pulling the oldest tricks in the book to try to ensure Issue 1 passes. It’s like a double whammy of voter suppression.

Our friends at One Person, One Vote are fighting tooth and nail to ensure that Issue 1 FAILS, including their opponents voter suppression scheming. If you’re with us, will you rush a donation so that we can help our friends in Ohio and across the U.S. preserve the power of voters?

Team, we cannot let this devious plot against democracy win. This vote will directly impact a vote in November to protect abortion access in the Buckeye State. We need all hands on deck to protect ballot measures in Ohio.

But, team, our Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign is ready. We’re all-in on helping voters in Ohio defeat this anti-democracy initiative and keep the path clear for direct democracy. Will you rush a donation to protect the power of voters in Ohio and stop this devious plot?
