Hi folks, Angela Alsobrooks here!
I know our team is growing every single day, so I’d like to take a moment to re-introduce myself and remind folks of what this campaign is all about!
Here’s a little about me: I’m a 26-year public servant, former State’s Attorney, County Executive of Prince George’s County, and I’m running to become the next United States Senator from Maryland!
I’m also a born-and-raised Marylander, mom to a soon-to-be college student, a Beyhive member, and a breakdancer!
There’s more, but before I tell you all about why I decided to run, will you invest $15, $25, or whatever you can to help power my campaign for the U.S. Senate?
Folks, I believe that our leaders should share the values and experiences of the people they represent.
I don’t live like or think like most Senators. I know what life is like for the average Marylander, because I’ve lived it. I see the challenges we face, and I know we can overcome them together.
That outlook is a family heirloom handed down to me by my great-grandmother, Maebel James – the strongest lady I’ve ever met. She was unflinching in the face of so much cruelty and injustice, and she had one rule for her family: No complaining.
She’d tell all her grandkids and great-grandkids, “If you don't like it, you go farther and you do better.”
The example set by my great-grandmother and by my parents led me to enter public service almost three decades ago.
I worked to modernize our criminal justice system, develop economic opportunities, protect the most vulnerable people in our communities, build prosperity for working families, and strengthen education.
We went farther and did better in this campaign for Senate – with your help, we set a state first-quarter fundraising record!
I’m so, so proud of everything we’ve accomplished so far, and there’s plenty of work to do in the Senate. With a little determination and a good attitude, we’ll keep going farther and doing better for all Marylanders.
Friend, if you can, will you chip in $25 to keep our historic campaign moving forward? I can’t tell you just how much I value your support.
With love and gratitude,
Angela Alsobrooks
