Here's the truth: Americans are less safe today than they were before President Trump launched the attack on Iranian General Soleimani.

Yet the Trump Administration is still refusing to provide any evidence to justify the strike, and Administration officials are doing their best to prevent Congress from having our constitutional say in matters of war and peace.

That's why I was proud to sign on to Senator Kaine's War Powers Resolution, which would force a debate in Congress and a vote on whether to engage in hostilities against Iran. And why I'm proud to be using my position in the Senate to help ensure that no more U.S. troops are harmed in a conflict Congress did not authorize.
