Hey folks, how are you doing this Saturday?
I’m home on the farm, getting ready for harvest season. There’s a lot to do. I woke up and hopped on the four wheeler to check out the peas and barley. The peas are golden from the sun, and the hot weather means I’ll probably be out in the field for harvest before too long.
There’s nothing quite like spending Montana summer days out on a tractor. You can sing as loud as you want and no one is around to shut you up. It’s also when I do a lot of my thinking. I can promise you most of my colleagues don’t spend their days surrounded by peas thinking about family farms or meat package labeling.
I’ve dedicated my life to fighting for towns of hundreds, not hundreds of thousands. Our political leaders should be doing everything in their power to lower costs for families, make health care more affordable, and create good-paying jobs. Because when you work for your country, your country should work for you.
But too many Washington politicians are deep in the pockets of right-wing special interests. They promise one thing and then make secret backroom deals with the wealthy mega-donors bankrolling their campaigns.
That’s why we’re running this campaign differently. I’m counting on grassroots folks like you chipping in what you can, when you can, to build a team strong enough to take on the outside groups and Republican attacks.
Before I get back out in the fields, I hope you can support our campaign. With your help, we can keep me in Washington fighting for the little guy. Your donation grows this movement and gives us the necessary resources to win.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thanks! Have a great rest of your Saturday.
