Joe Rogan is at it again,
John. This marks the third time
we’ve been “featured” on his show, which is one of the most popular in the
country.
This week, Rogan took a break from platforming conspiracy theorists like
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to instead host billionaire Marc Andreessen.
In his interview, Andreessen called our network of local newsrooms “fake
news” — citing a right-wing Super PAC as his source. The Super PAC then
immediately tweeted a video from the interview, praising Rogan and
Andreessen for “unmasking us” (whatever that means 🙄).
This is the Joe Rogan model in action. He says he’s “just asking
questions,” but really he’s allowing right-wing bad actors to spread
misinformation that gets amplified to millions of people online.

calling out misinformation for what it is and providing fact-based
reporting on local events. Will you pitch in $5 or anything
you can to support our mission and help us fight back against bad actors
like Rogan?

Unlike Rogan, we’re not “just asking questions” — we publish rigorous,
fact-based journalism so our readers know the truth about the most
important issues in their local communities.
And thanks to the generous support of our grassroots team, we’re taking
that truth directly to “news deserts” that lack other reliable sources of
local news. Plus, none of our work is locked behind a paywall or
subscription fee.
But we can’t do any of our work without your support,
John.

support our newsrooms and help us hold Rogan and anyone else who spreads
misinformation accountable.
